Rising Stars guest appearances
Peet appeared as a special guest in two episodes of Rising Stars hosted by Rex Wallace and Mick Twome. The Rising Stars discussion series caters to Medicare Advantage leaders tasked with improving their plans’ Star Ratings, a composite KPI of plan quality that reflects over 40 individual metrics.
Star Ratings are assigned annually to each Medicare Advantage insurance plan by the responsble US regulator, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Medicare Advantage plans that attain 4 or more out of 5 Stars receive a substantial quality bonus payment from the US government.
Would higher Star Ratings and their accompaning incentive payments be associated with increased innovation capability and behavior? Or would better plans be more likely to invest in innovation than struggling plans? What about the top-performing plans who maintain their ratings from year to year?
Watch to find out!
I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the implications of my research on the association between achieving higher Star Ratings and innovation. Thanks to Rex, Mick and Nate for two great discussions!
